So, the weathermen have been predicting a cold snap since last week, but it did not arrive when they expected. Instead we got another foot of snow. But today as I write this post it is -24* and dropping. If we do not get any cloud cover it will drop to -40*to -50* tonight. We made a trip into town to our local grocery store to stock up on a few things because we probably will not go anywhere for a few days. On the way we saw this Mama Moose and her two young ones trying to stay warm!
I did finished my Westering Women top yesterday evening. It took me all afternoon to choose an outer border. I will not bore you with photos of all my trials. With this project I had planned to use only fabric from my Civil War Repro stash, which is not large and does not include a lot of large cuts of fabric. I had about one yard of the fabric I used, which appropriately is from one of Barbara Brackman's own fabric collections. I was able to make a 5" border.
Thanks for visiting!
