Cranberry Album Sew Along - Oops!

I am joining Karen of Log Cabin Quilter, Here, for a sew along of the Cranberry Album quilt from the book Old Voices New Impressions  by Jeana Kimball.  Cathy of Big Lake Quilter, Here, is also joining in, My big oops is I did the wrong blocks! I did the first four blocks that were in the first row of the quilt in the photo. Karen and Cathy did the first four blocks as they were printed in the book. That's okay, I did get four done this month.

I am so enjoying these blocks! If you have read my blog and are also doing this sew along, let me know, I would love too see your blocks!

I have been helping out at our local fair. We hung quilts yesterday and I helped sell tickets for guild's raffle quilt today. I will have some photos of this years entries next time!  Happy Quilting! Rebecca

Two Finishes, A Mystery BOM, and A Sew Along

I have not visited blogland for a while. I hope to start checking out my favorite blogs soon. I have finished my two contributions for our guilds annual silent auction this year. It will be held during our local fair July 31 through August 2. This first one is from a Cheri Payne pattern called "Embrace Each Day" . You can see more of Cheri's quilt patterns HERE at her "Quilts by Cheri" website. The second one is from Issue # 100 of Quiltmania, designed by  Laural Arestad.

Embrace Each Day, a Cheri Payne pattern. It finished at about 18" X 20".

From Quiltmainia #100, designed by Laural Arestad. 23" X 25"

I also joined a Mystery BOM sponsored by Trica Cribbs of Turning Twenty. I guess the registration is closed now. I signed up for the pre-cut kits because I knew if I didn't this BOM would end up like so many others, never started.

I need to get these sewn together.

I am also going to join in with a Sew Along. We will be doing the quilt on the back cover of the book "Old Voices, New Impressions" by Jeanna Kimball. I got a copy of the book on Amazon, it was a little pricey, but I got two more of her books at such reasonable prices I figured it even out. I am a little behind on starting since I was busy finishing up my two small quilts above. You can get more information about the sew along from Karen's blog "Log Cabin Quilter" HERE and HERE.

The quilt we will be making, called Cranberry Album

Two more Jeanna Kimball books I purchased.
My background fabric for the applique.

I think I will use this for the sashing and borders, but I am not definite on that yet.

I am off to the dentist today. I hope you are all having a wonderful summer! Happy Quilting, Rebecca
